Christ lived his early life with his mother on the farm and then hiredout to work in strawberry and fruit farms near Irvington. He became aNaturalized citizen Oct. 31, 1888. In 1890 he married ElizabethKleiboeker and started farming near Hoyleton and Nolting Station. Sixof his eleven children were born here. He then moved from the area toOkawville, to Beaver Prairie, and then to Centralia. We are toldChrist passed away in his sleep after working amongst his peach trees.
