Erich left home when he was 16 years old to find work in St. Louis.He worked in a dairy for awhile with his brother-in law TheodoreHussman. In later life he moved to Detroit where he worked as anautomobile upholster. in 1945 he developed cancer of the tongue andafter a long illness died in 1946.
