“August Fiebranz and Henriette Schoen; I do certify that August Fiebranz, son of Martin Fiebranz and his wife Sophie Born Kepler born Treptow, in Pommern in Germany is 28 years and resides in the city of Milwaukee and Henriette Schoen daughter of Benjamin Schoen and his wife Anna Ketziger at Town nine Washington County, Wisc. is 22 years old, both of white color, were in the presence of Anton Fiebranz, William Schoen, Frederick Riemer, Herman Kannenberg on the 25th of November A D 1852 at the meeting room of the Prussian Lutheran Congregation at West Water Street in Milwaukee by me, joined in marriage after an examination of both parties on Oath that there was no legal impediment to their marriage.”
