Florette graduated from St. Joseph’s Hospital, Omaha Nebraska as a registered Nurse and was the first Stewardess on the Union Pacific Railroad. In 1935 she made the first trip on the Omaha - Los Angeles run as stewardess. Her husband, John C Gale was assistant to the President of the Union Pacific, Mr. W. M. Jeffers. They lived in Omaha NE, later moved to North Hollywood, CA and then to Vista CA where she lived til her passing.
