Lauren Ann Kearns Sifferman (40) of Overland Park passed on into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior unexpectedly on September 20, 2022 from a rupture in her brain.
Lauren was born to Tom and Paula Kearns in Fort Lauderdale, FL. After her mother’s untimely passing, Lauren was blessed by the love and adoption by Joanna. Lauren earned a BA, MA, and MBA at SMU. She worked for several years in non-profit management. In 2006, Lauren met the love of her life, Mike Sifferman, in Dallas, TX. Lauren and Mike married in 2009 and had two children, Carter and Max.
Motherhood organized Lauren’s life, becoming her purpose and great pleasure. She was incredibly proud of Carter and Max as students, friends, and athletes. She supported their school efforts through her passion for non-profit and volunteer work as Lakewood Elementary PTO President.
Lauren leaves behind her family and a far-reaching beloved community, all of whom have been touched deeply by her life and spirit.
A memorial service for Lauren will be held at Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas on Tuesday, September 27 at 10:00 A.M. in the Wesley Chapel. 13720 Roe Ave, Leawood, KS 66224
The service will be live-streamed and shared separately.
The family would like to invite you to her continued celebration of life at the Lionsgate Clubhouse (5861 Edgewater Road, Overland Park, KS 66223) immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lakewood PTO. It was Lauren’s passion to have inclusive playground equipment for Lakewood Elementary School, and these funds will support Lauren’s dream for the children.
