Todd Welp went to be with his Heavenly Father on May 27, 2013. He passed away at OU Medical Center after being there for 14 weeks due to a severe spinal cord injury that occurred on February 21, 2013.
He was born on August 26, 1963 in Red Bud, Illinois to Tom and Barbara Welp. Todd lived in Clinton, Oklahoma, and worked as a carpenter for Al Underhill. He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. He had many friends, and was always willing to help anyone who needed help. He loved to play guitar, go fishing, and spend time with his two dogs, Maggie and Meanie.
He is survived by his parents, Tom and Barbara Welp, of Stillwater; sister, Jodi (Bob) Bosler, of Stillwater; sister, Tricia (Mikel) Pettiford, of Garland, Texas; nephews, Aaron, Matthew and Josh Bosler, of Stillwater; nieces, Kelsey and Lexus Pettiford, of Garland, Texas; great-nephews, Jack and Bryck; great-nieces, Nina, Layni, Angie, Lauren, Allie and Kylee; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A private family memorial service will be held for his immediate family and friends on May 31, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Strode Funeral Home.
