Obituary:
Alice Mae (Spree) Kleiboeker, of Wentworth, MO, passed away March 26, 2013 in her home surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Alice was born March 30, 1929, to Emil and Louise (Bracht) Spree, in Freistatt, MO. She married Lorn Kleiboeker on January 2, 1953, and they celebrated 60 years of life together. Alice was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Freistatt, where she was baptized in April of 1929 and confirmed in March of 1943. Alice was a wonderful homemaker, loved to garden, enjoyed cooking, and always opened her home and family farm to family and friends. Many ears of sweet corn, baked goods and fresh lemonade were served in Alices home over the years. Alice was a nurturer, a caregiver, and an encourager. She is survived by her loving husband Lorn. She was a precious mother to two sons and their wives, Nolan and Dotti Kleiboeker and Steven and Brenda Kleiboeker, of Wentworth; and two daughters and their husbands, Anita and Jody Breazeale and June and Jay Huff, of Springfield. She was a kindhearted grandmother to six grandsons, Ryan (Abby), Eric, Jared (Shannon) and Jamison Kleiboeker, Aaron Breazeale and Austin Huff; and four granddaughters, Jeanell (Ryan) Stockton, Jennifer (Phillip) Elbert, Katie Kleiboeker, and Adrienne Huff; and four great-grandchildren, Mekhi, Colton, August and Anna Kleiboeker. She is also survived by two brothers, Ray (Allene) Spree, of Mt. Vernon and Elmer (Linda) Spree, of Republic; one sister, Gladys (Paul) Dieckhoff, of Diamond; one sister-in-law, Carole Spree, of St. Louis; one aunt, Mabel Moennig, of Mt. Vernon; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her dearly and thought of her as a second mother. Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Lincoln Voskamp; and brother, Reverend Floyd Spree; and Lorns siblings, who she loved as brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held at Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett, MO, on Friday, March 29, 2013, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistatt on her birthday, Saturday, March 30th at 11:00 am, with Reverend Ryan Buchmueller officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church radio broadcast, Trinity Lutheran School Scholarship Fund or the Lutheran Hour. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home.
