John Harrison, Jr. in his Will described himself as a "Yeoman" and wasthe
largest landowner in the area. He had patents on land totaled nearly3,500.

John Harrison Jr. His will was written 23 August 1758 and proved incourt 15
November 1763 Augusta County Will Book No. 3 page 296 at Staunton,
Virginia---Original will also on record.

John Harrison was murdered by a slave October 1763. (J.H. Harrison'sbook Settlers by the Lon g Gray Trail). Page 189
