Paul served in the Russian Prisoner of War camps after WWII. He presumably was a German Soldier during the war. Glenn Kruse wrote in 1985 that Paul “had worked as “slave labor” in Russia for a time to satisfy Russia’s demand for reparations from Germany following WWII.” Vera writes that Paul was “recently released from Prison Camp” in 1949.
