Herman grew up in New Minden, IL and later moved to St. Louis where he worked with his brother-in-law, Theodore Hussman in the Daily and bakery. He and his wife moved to southern Texas where they had a citrus grove and truck farm. When they retired they moved to Corpus Christi. (Information obtained from Rev. Howard Kramer, NM)
