Maud's Great Great Grand-father was Peter Bowlin who came from theRock of Gibraltar. His so n John Bowlin who was born 15 December 1779married Elizabeth Barnhouse, who was born on 5 Oc tober 1781, and theyhad a son Joseph Bowlin who was born 24 March 1807, and died 9 February 1895, in Ottumwa, Wapello County, Iowa and he married 27 August 1829to Barbara Ayers who w as born on 19 January 1810, their son wasWilliam Henry Bowlin and he was born 24 January 184 4. Wilbur and Maud lived in California (Bakersfield) with their son,Dewey, for a couple of year s 1937-8, also during that time theirdaughter Beryl lived in California with them. Beryl' s daughterMaxine went to the local school with Dewey's two sons, Don and Ralph.Wilbur an d Maud lived in Costa Mesa from 1941 to 1944 in a houseowned by their son Dewey. When Mau d was ailing she wanted to go backto Des Moines which they did and Maud died soon after.
Maud Lillian BOWLIN married first to Bruce WELKER<ahref=
http://pennant2.homepage.com/hp/gear/photo/photoalbum2.html?item=11.1>(Bible Records)</a> and the marriageended in divorce. Thi s marriage produced one Son Ralph WELKER whodied in Sacramento, California.
