Gertrude Mae TALLMAN6 the daughter of Wilbur Maxwell TALLMAN and MaudLillian BOWLIN. Gertru de was born in Harlan Shelby County, Iowa 22April 1894 and she died in Sioux City, Iowa on 2 2 September 1980.

On 21 June 1916 in Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa Gertrude Mae TALLMANmarried Victor Alonzo G UNN, who was born in Evan, Iowa on 12 June1894 and he died in Sioux City, Iowa on 23 Novembe r 1980. Victor isthe son of Hugh Alexander GUNN and Catherine ADEY.

Gertrude Mae went to the public school in Harlan, Iowa where she wasborn and completed Colle ge in Iowa Schools. She married Victor inDes Moines and lived there many years, spending th eir last years inSioux City, Iowa. May (TALLMAN) GUNN was a member of the Sioux CityWoman' s organizations. She was
a dedicated member of the First Methodist Church's Women's Society ofChristian Service an d a past president of the Harriet Ballou New HopeCenter board.

Victor GUNN who was in marketing all of his life. Starting as asalesman and becoming Execut ive Vice President and General manager ofKnapp and Spencer Inc.

Victor and Mae came to Sioux City in the fall of 1946. Both had beenactive in community a nd church affairs. He was president of theMethodist Hospital board of directors; a member o f the Sioux CityChamber of Commerce and its postal affairs committee; and belonged tothe Ro tary Club, the Abu Bekr Shrine Temple and other Masonicbodies. He has volunteered his serv ices for numerous civic drives,including the United Fund and the YMCA. Mr. Gunn served on t he boardof trusties and the finance committee and was treasurer of thebuilding fund of th e first Methodist. He was an active member of theUnited Church Men.

Other affiliations include the Hawkeye Club, the Sioux City CountryClub and the Metropoli tan Dinner Club. He was a past president ofthe Knife and Fork Club.
