Notes for Alvin Haunschild
Alvin was the proprieter of the Wagner Funeral Home on Linwood Blvd in Kansas City Missouri for his entire working career. He suffered a fateful death while
driving his car, he was swept away and killed by raging flood waters of the Brush Creek.

In 1954, he attended a Dale Carnegie Course, and here is a quote from the graduation booklet handed out at the class graduation dinner event:

“Al Haunschild: Being a Director of the Wagner Funeral Home might have some bearing on why Al was quite often referred to as “Digger”. Al won the Special Award Pencil in session 5 (Achievement Award) for coming out of his shell and to top it off, he won the only award in session 11 for the outstanding performance in Crashing Through “ His role during the evening prorgram included giving the invocation and his speech later in the evening was entitled “The Deluge is On”.
