Monett-Services for Elda Louise Haunschild, 86, Monett, were at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov 28, 1994 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Freistatt, with the Rev. Keith Christiansen officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, under the direction Buchanan of Monett.
Mrs Haunschild died at 8:40 a.m. Friday, Nov 25, at Cox-Monett Hospital after a short illness.
She was born Dec 5, 1907 in Monett. She had lived in the Wentworth, Monett and Pierce City areas. She moved to Kansas City 52 years ago. She returned to Monett in 1979.
She was co-owner and funeral director of the Wagner Funeral Home in Kansas City from 1954-1978. She was a member of the Lutheran Layman's League, the Lutheran Missionary League and an associate member of the Research Medical Center Auxiliary, all in Kansas City.
She was a member of the Kansas City Turner Society Auxiliary. She had been a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Kansas City. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Freistatt.
She married Alvin R Haunschild on Aug 24, 1941 in Freistatt. He died Sept 12, 1977.
Survivors include two brother, Alvin Kleiboeker of Stotts City and Lorn Kleiboeker of Wentworth; three sisters, Leona Gaulke of Monett, Vera Kruse of Aurora and Lorene Buescher of Portland, Ore.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church or School, the Lutheran Hour or to the charity of the donor's choice.
