Notes for Anna Regina Meyer
Anna was confirmed 3/18/1894 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistatt, MO.

Anna Meyer born 1881 in Rieste, the oldest daughter of Rudolf and Anna Meyer. She immigrates to America at the age of 4 with her parents and 2 siblings in 1885. Her Aunt and Uncle (father’s brother) and their children had already arrived in Freistatt in 1882, That voyage had a total of 14 members of the Meyer Extended family including Anna’s Grandmother. Her Grandfather arrived in 1883.

Her parents have 3 more children after they arrive in Freistatt between the years 1887 and 1892. At the age of 36 Anna’s mother has her sixth child in June of 1892. But in March the next year, 1893, her mother dies when Anna is only 11 years old. Anna must take care of 5 siblings and her dad. Her brothers and sisters are 10, 8, 6, 4, and less than 1 when her mother dies. She manages this responsibility for over 4 years, when in 1897, when Anna is almost 16, her father, William Meyer remarries Louisa Kreft, age 25. Louisa, Anna’s new mother, who is only 10 years older, was born in New Minden, Illinois who had relocated with her family to Freistatt, MO a few years earlier. Anna’s new mother and her dad have 6 more children in the Friesitatt area between 1893 and 1907.

Anna close to 21, gets married in 1902 to Henry Kleiboeker. They soon leave Missouri for Oklahoma.

Anna died of a heart attack coming home from Clarence Keim's funeral.
